Hey there!

I'm Jasmyn. I'm a Chicago-based musician and theatre artist. I was initially drawn to the stage for the glamour and stayed for the community. I believe the magic of the arts comes from collaboration and am always looking for new opportunities to work with others!

My Story

Originally from Fort Collins, Colorado, I spent four years in Cleveland, OH studying pop vocals and acting at Case Western Reserve University. Within my time at CWRU I acted in numerous productions including a favorite as Huldey in The Moors with Dir. David Vegh.

I was also involved with IMPROVment, CWRU's Premier short-form musical improv comedy troupe for three years. With IMPROVment, I had the opportunity to perform in weekly hour long shows, gaining experience with short-form and long-form improv comedy in both musical and non-musical contexts. Doing improv at CWRU helped foster my love for the collaboration of performing and I now regularly perform around Chicago with multiple improv and sketch groups, including my musical improv troupe "Hook, Line, and Stinker".

On the musical side of things, I've been involved in a number of groups, including singing and playing guitar in a pop/rock band, playing trumpet and singing in several jazz bands, and singing in concert choirs. As such, I am comfortable singing and playing in a wide variety of styles, which has also helped me find a sound I love for my original music.
